What happens at a first visit
Every plan starts the same way.
Evaluation
You complete a health history review and meet with a licensed physical or occupational therapist to talk through your condition.
Examination
A thorough examination to determine the cause of your pain and what treatment methods and exercises will most effectively remedy it.
Plan of care
Your therapist builds your plan and tells you how many visits to expect. We assess your progress and modify the plan as needed.
One hour, one patient, and what it costs
We schedule one patient per hour for each therapist. We accept and file most insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid, and most insurance covers physical therapy if prescribed by a primary care provider or specialist. Call (505) 286-3678 and we will check your plan.
Manual Therapy
Joint and soft-tissue mobilization, myofascial release and manual traction.
Myofascial Release
Slow, sustained pressure on tight fascia to ease restrictions and pain.
Dry Needling
A thin needle into tight muscle knots to reduce pain and tension.
Electrical Stimulation Therapy
Mild electrical current to decrease pain and swelling and wake up weak muscles.
Therapeutic Ultrasound
Deep heat to ease pain and spasm and improve flexibility.
Iontophoresis
Topical medication moved through the skin to ease tendonitis and bursitis.
Therapeutic Exercise & On-Site Rehabilitation
Strength, balance and cardio equipment, children's therapy and pain programs at all three centers.
